On Monday, November 1, Wisconsin legislators will introduce the Wisconsin Building Families Act in a public press conference. One in eight couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy, with women of color experiencing infertility at higher rates than white women. The Building Families Alliance, which includes Division of Reproductive Endocrinology Director Bala Bhagavath, MD, Clinical Psychologist Julianne Zweifel, PhD, and UW Ob-Gyn Outreach Manager Melody Bockenfeld, MPH on its advisory board, supports fertility-friendly legislation in Wisconsin.

After the Building Families Act is introduced, the Building Families Alliance will offer virtual training on how to talk about infertility issues with elected officials. The training will be hosted on Zoom on Wednesday, November 3 from 6-7:00pm. Register here!
