I am thrilled to share that UW Health Gynecology was ranked #13 in the nation by the U.S. News and World Report! The annual hospital rankings were released yesterday, and once again we are the highest-ranked specialty at UW Health. These rankings involve more than 4,500 hospitals around the country, which means our program is in the top 1% in the nation!
Every year, I look forward to these rankings coming out. This department has seen tremendous growth and development in the last several years – we first appeared in the top 50 in 2013, and this year’s #13 is an exciting accomplishment.
I am eternally grateful for the hard work and dedication of everyone in this department. Your deep commitment to providing exceptional care for our community is evident every day, and every incredible member of our UW Ob-Gyn family – faculty, APPs, residents, fellows, researchers, administrative staff – had a hand in earning this ranking. I am especially humbled by your work in the face of the immense challenges of the last year and a half. We could not have asked for a better team to help us weather a pandemic and adjust to new styles of work, education, research, and patient care. I say it all the time, but truly, I am not worthy.
I hope you all take a moment today to soak in this external accolade. This department is an unstoppable force, and you’ve earned it. Thank you all for your dedication to our mission of improving lives for women in Wisconsin through patient care, education, research, and advocacy!
XOXO,
Laurel
