As part of the URS program, Huynh mentors and trains early undergraduate students at UW-Madison through research and creative practices. Over the years, the program has demonstrated that mentoring positively contributes to students’ overall academic experience and makes post-graduate opportunities more desirable and accessible. URS data show clear evidence of increased retention and graduation rates, particularly for students from underrepresented populations.
