The UW SMPH Group on Women in Medicine & Science (GWIMS) recently announced their 2021 UW SMPH GWIMS Symposium:

Who: All faculty, staff, and learners are welcome to attend

When: Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 from 3-5pm

Where: Virtual

Format: Keynote speaker + Panel Discussion + GWIMS Awards Presentation


This year’s event will feature Dr. Malú Tansey as our keynote speaker. Dr. Tansey is first endowed chair and director of the Center for Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Disease at the University of Florida College of Medicine. 

GWIMS is also excited to open nominations for the first annual GWIMS Awards. Please read this for a description of this year’s awards and consider nominating a deserving colleague.

Who: SMPH faculty who are GWIMS members are eligible for nomination
