Grand Rounds: Moniz presents “US Healthcare Reform & Women: Progress to date and Unfinished Business”

On August 12, 2021, the UW Department of Ob-Gyn hosted Michelle Moniz, MD for a special Grand Rounds lecture. Moniz, who is an assistant professor in the University of Michigan Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the University of Michigan’s Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, presented the lecture US Healthcare Reform & Women: Progress to date and Unfinished Business”.

In the lecture, Moniz identified unique women’s healthcare access barriers before the passage of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), analyzed how the ACA affected coverage, affordability, and health outcomes for women, and identified possible policy changes to promote equitable care and outcomes.
