On Friday, April 1, we say goodbye to Jay Lick, DO, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn. Dr. Lick will transition his practice to UW Health Urgent Care. Thankfully, our community will continue to benefit from Dr. Lick’s excellent care, and we will still get to work with him on Labor & Delivery from time to time!
Dr. Lick joined the UW Department of Ob-Gyn in 2009. During his time with us, he has been a beloved educator of residents and medical students alike, teaching dozens of courses on surgical techniques, complex ob-gyn conditions, and inclusive health care. Many classes of residents have benefitted from his mentorship, and he has received the CREOG National Faculty Teaching Award, the John M. Anderson Award and the Dr. Sabine Droste Outstanding Teacher Award over the last few years. Dr. Lick has also been a staunch champion of LGBTQ+ health care, volunteering with Transgender Care Services for more than a decade.
Please join us in thanking Dr. Lick for his many years of dedicated service in UW Ob-Gyn and wishing him the best in this new role!
