The Wisconsin Birth Equity Act includes proposed legislation to provide at-home wellness visits within two weeks after birth; mandate insurance coverage for maternal mental health screenings; remove tax on breastfeeding equipment and supplies; and more.

Learn more about Wisconsin’s stark maternal-infant health disparities, the Wisconsin Birth Equity Act, and how to discuss the legislation with representatives.

At the national level, elements of the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act are under negotiation as part of the Build Back Better Act. Learn more about that national legislative effort here!
