The University of Wisconsin-Madison has been selected as one of 10 research institutions to compete for the Hartwell Foundation Individual Biomedical Research Award. The Hartwell Foundation requires each selected research institution to hold an internal open competition to identify up to three nominees, based upon application requirements set forth by the Foundation.
Applications are now open for the internal pre-proposal competition! Submit your pre-proposal to Tracy Cabot in the School of Medicine and Public Health by Noon, Thursday, May 28, 2020 for consideration.
The Hartwell Foundation Individual Biomedical Research Award will provide financial support to stimulate discovery in early-stage biomedical research that has the potential to benefit children in the United States. Irene Ong, PhD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Reproductive Sciences earned this award in 2018.
