A few exciting updates from the always-prolific Aleks
Stanic, MD PhD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Divisions of Reproductive Sciences and
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, as well as others in his lab!
Stanic, along with newly-minted PhD Jessica Vazquez and Reproductive
Sciences’ Irene Ong, PhD, published a review in the American Journal of Reproductive Immunology. “Single-cell
technologies in reproductive immunology” looks at the use of novel "big data" single cell
pipelines and machine learning approaches in reproductive sciences and
immunology.

On
June 9, 2019, Stanic delivered the keynote address at the 42nd Annual Course in Cytometry at UW-Madison. His keynote, “Cellular composition and plasticity
at the maternal-fetal interface,” helped
kick off the conference, which provided attendees with helpful knowledge about
flow cytometry, image cytometry, and much more.
Stanic also gave an invited talk – “Plastic
Fantastic: Transcriptional Malleability and Functional Stability of Decidual
Innate Lymphoid Cells” – at the 2019 American Society for Reproductive Immunology meeting in Grand Rapids, MI in June.
Congratulations!
