CHAP.png

The Wisconsin clinical center of the Chronic Hypertension and Pregnancy Project, a multicenter randomized trial with a primary aim to evaluate the benefits and potential harms of pharmacologic treatment of mild chronic hypertension in pregnancy, enrolled its first patient in February.

The study will involve at least 16 academic clinical centers and approximately 30 hospitals across the country. The Wisconsin site, led by principal investigator Dinesh Shah, MD and co-investigator Kara Hoppe, DO of our Maternal Fetal Medicine division, plans to enroll 30 patients over three years for the study.
