4/29/20 - Daily Operations Update

Welcome to the APRIL 29, 2020 daily update on UW Ob-Gyn departmental operations.

The UW-Madison Chancellor’s Office announced a campus-wide furlough plan today. The UW Ob-Gyn administrative team is hard at work clarifying how SMPH and UW Ob-Gyn employees will be affected by the policy. In the meantime, take a look at the UW-Madison Furlough frequently asked questions; more information on the furlough policy is also available on this knowledgebase entry.

The institution is continuing to smooth out issues with Vidyo telehealth visits. Dr. Bhagavath has offered to field questions, and the UW Ob-Gyn IT team is available to assist with equipment concerns

Studies have shown that just a few minutes of mindful meditation each day reduces stress and anxiety, improves memory and decision making skills, cultivates positive interpersonal relationships, and has multiple health benefits. There are tons of mindfulness and meditation resources collected on the UW Ob-Gyn Wellness Resources page, including the UW-Madison Healthy Minds Program, a guided relaxation by Dr. Julianne Zweifel, and so much more!

Find more resources to support mental and physical resilience on the UW Ob-Gyn Wellness Committee resources page.
